She is also involved with Aristophanes who is on trial for treason because his latest play Lysistrata advocates that women withhold their sexual favors from men until such time as men stop fighting wars. Attalea succeeds in getting Aristophanes’ trial thrown out of court, and, with his help, manages to restore Cleon to his wife. Moreover, she and Aristophanes enter into their own romantic arrangement.
