A Dartmouth graduate, Tex O’Connor, who had once gone to Persia as a tutor but had gone missing, or so it was assumed. In fact he had ended up as an Emir with with a harem of 365 American girls, one for each day of the year plus 1 for a leap year. United States Senator, Marcia Mason Moore had gone to Persia on a factfinding mission to find out what had happened to the, presumed missing, graduate. At the same time another American Senator along with his brother and sister, as well as two characters named Sludge and McSlump were also on a visit for the same reason.
