Original Cast Album CoverBLACK AND BLUE

A Musical Revue in 2 acts conceived by Héctor Orezzoli and Claudio Segovia.

Minskoff Theatre, Broadway - January 26, 1989 (824 perfs)

Black and Blue is a celebration of a great and marvellous cultural legacy, the classic African-American tradition of song, dance and music. It is set in the period between the two World Wars, the period in Paris where black American artists were given an unusually warm reception. The show reflects a Parisian affection for the exotic. It also has plenty of old-fashioned Hollywood razzle-dazzle. It is a homage to all the spirits of all the legends that created the wonderful period that is Black and Blue.
