Since 1840 Brodie & Middleton has been supplying traditional scenic materials to London's theatres from its shop in Covent Garden. Today it remains in the heart of Theatreland and maintains close relationships with the theatrical trade.

Its popularity with scenic artists, interior decorators and painters comes from the unique range of traditional and modern materials available at the Drury Lane store and the specialist advice the company can offer. In addition to theatres, the company supplies the general public, schools, colleges, universities, museums and theatrical societies in the UK and around the world.

Brodies have specialised in supplying the trade with its needs since the early part of the 19th Century. For many years Brodie & Middleton was based on Long Acre and today the shop is a few minutes down the road on Drury Lane. Although times have changed the company still holds a range of materials that a nineteenth century scenery painter would recognise.
